BGT Gifts was officially founded in 2018 after CEO Sharmene Smith left her corporate job as a Program Manager at a prestigious university. Together with her husband and mom, they created Baskets Gifts and Things LLC with the hopes of taking their love of creating gifts to a new level.
One of Sharmene’s duties at her corporate office was to create promotional and marketing gifts to promote the research information and registry that she was in charge of. Through her five years of experience, she gained an unique perspective of helping her clients build relationships through gifting.
